This was on a day when our gracious captain Peter Pelon was in town so we had to get together. Interesting to have me on Guitar & Ted on Mandolin.

l to r Adele Tobin, me, Bob Tobin, Peter Pelon, Ted McKee and David Owens. Peter not only captains the boat that picks us up in Golfito, and runs around from time to time, but he also plays at the Sol y Mar. He is the first person I've seen do Bruce Springsteen tunes solo and pull it off well. Inspiring Peter!!

In Zancudo they call us The South Carolina Boys. We generally go by The Call Mama Band. It's a loose contingent that includes those of us who travel to Costa Rico and several who haven't (yet). Here we're invading Ted McKee's regular Sunday gig at D.D. Peckers.

Here we are playing at the Sol y Mar. There are several shots partly to show you, and partly because I love the place and the people so much.

One night at the Sol y Mar with a flutist sitting. He did a party down the street a few days later so we got to enjoy his group as well.

Met this banjo player in Cork City Ireland. His name is Brian. Blown away by his flawless Irish style triplets I had to meet him. I can play triplets, but Irish style is MUCH more difficult. Still trying to digest some of what I learned hanging with him. Also there was a concertina player the first night and an accordion player the second night that could get those same triplets. AWESOME STUFF! He invited me to sit in the second night. We were in an Irish pub so, you guessed it, some some drink was taken! πŸ™‚

Shot of most of the band in Cork City the night I sat in. I could keep up with the tunes (none of which I knew and nor could they name), but those triplets were killing me. Gotta work on that!

Many said I had no need to kiss the Blarney Stone as I was gabby enough already. Now others say I shouldn't have done that!! (hehe)
